The Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa will be hosting a full day workshop!

BRAIN INJURY FUNDAMENTALS – A new training course for service providers and direct care staff to improve support to individuals with brain injury. Recently released by the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialist (AACBIS) the “Fundamentals” course provides a solid basis for brain injury services and provides preparation for the Fundamentals Certificate.
There are two steps to register for this workshop:
Step 1: Register through BIAIA for the training. The cost is $50 and includes snacks, refreshments, and lunch.
Deadline for this step is February 6, 2019.
Step 2: Once you have registered for this training, you will be required to register for the Fundamentals certificate which involves an open book quiz, that can be done anytime after the training. Deadline for this step is February 8, 2019
Registering by February 8, 2019 will allow time needed for the Brain Injury Association of America to process your application and mail a “Fundamentals” workbook to you in time for the training.
You will have the choice to take the quiz the same day, at the conclusion of the training on February 27, or at a later time. This is arranged through Brain Injury Association of America, once you have registered.
If you plan to take your quiz the day of the training, you are required to bring your own laptop.
